Reinforcement cord comprises at least one yarn made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The polyethylene terephthalate is completely or at least partially made of renewable resources. An independent claim is also included for a pneumatic vehicle tire comprising at least one reinforcing cord in the carcass ply and/or in at least one belt ply, as bead reinforcing element and/or the belt drum.
