Hybrid cord (1) for use as a reinforcing element in a component of a vehicle pneumatic tire, consisting of at least two yarns (2, 3) that are twisted together, wherein at least one first yarn (2) is a high-modulus yarn and another yarn (3) is a low-modulus yarn. The high-modulus yarn (2) is a filament yarn, the low-modulus yarn (3) is a yarn made from staple fibers.
