A vehicle (10) includes a charging unit (110) receiving electric power supplied from an external power supply through a power feeding cable (214) connected to an inlet (112) for charging a power storage device (100); a discharging unit (120) for supplying electric power from the power storage device (100) to the power feeding cable (214) through the inlet (112); a discharge relay (122); and a charge relay (114). When ending a discharging operation, an ECU (130) outputs an opening instruction to the discharge relay (122) and determines based on the state of a power line (ACL1, ACL2) during output of the opening instruction whether the discharge relay (122) is welded or not. When starting the discharging operation, the ECU (130) outputs a closing instruction to the discharge relay (122) and does not determine during output of the closing instruction whether the discharge relay (122) is welded or not.
