Source
The exhaust gas recirculation valve (10) has a single valve element (12), through which the exhaust gas flow is blocked and the fresh air flow is throttled. An exhaust gas recirculation line (16) has a smaller flow cross section than a fresh-air line (18). The valve element is a pivoted flap. A pivot axis (14) of the valve element is arranged between the exhaust gas recirculation line and the fresh-air line.
