Exhaust gas return system and method for operating the same

The system has an exhaust gas recirculation line (10) branching towards an exhaust gas line (26), and comprises an exhaust gas recirculation valve with an actuator e.g. electrical actuator, and a fresh air duct. The recirculation line opens in to the duct. A throttle body (24) i.e. flap, is operatively connected with the recirculation valve such that the throttle body is moved from a defined opening angle of the recirculation valve during opening of the recirculation valve with respect to flow of exhaust gas and/or fresh air. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an exhaust gas recirculation system.
