Drive assembly for an external rear mirror in a vehicle

The drive assembly has mirror that is connected to a fixed unit (5) and a drive (6) which moves between the fixed unit and movable unit (13). An electric motor (14) is connected with a gear (10). A lifting unit arranged on end face of gear wheel is arranged in locking recess. A sliding element (19) is pivotally mounted on movable unit and latch projection is engaged in locking recess. A sliding surface is provided for relatively moving the end face of the gear.
