The windscreen wiper device (100) has a wiper lever (10) and an electric motor, where the wiper lever is directly driven by the electric motor. The wiper lever has a limiting element (20) to a rotation angle limiter. The windscreen wiper device also has a fixing element (30), where the wiper lever is fixed in a parking position by the fixing element and the limiting element. The fixing element is arranged on an engine board (40) of the electric motor. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a windscreen wiper device.
