Windscreen wiper drive

DRIVE October 8, 2003
Source
The motor vehicle windscreen wiper device has at least one reversible wiper motor whose output shaft drives a pivotably mounted wiper shaft (14) via a lever gear . A storage spring (28) that acts on the drive element, is biased in the reversing positions and supports the drive torque of the wiper motor after the reversal points. The storage spring does not exert any torque on the drive element in the parking position of the wiper blade.
