Windscreen wiper device for vehicle

The windscreen wiper device has at least one motorized wiper (2) with a wiper blade whose wiping lip can be moved into different parking positions controlled by a controller (11) depending on an information signal describing the time for which the current parking position has been used and at least one information signal for an ambient parameter adversely affecting the life of the wiper lip. An Independent claim is also included for a method of operating an inventive device.
