Fuel supply device, in particular for a combustion engine

The device (1) has a fuel filer (4) i.e. particulate filter, and a water separator (5) that is provided as a separate component connected downstream of the filer. The water separator is provided with a separation stage made of a coalescent material and another separation stage made of a hydrophobic material, where the two separation stages are provided such that the fuel is diverted between the separation stages. The water separator has a cylindrical housing whose longitudinal axis runs vertically, where an insertion element having a vertical pipe section is provided in the housing.
