Fuel filter with water release means

A fuel filter comprises at least two stages. The last stage consists of a hydrophobic material downstream and a hydrophilic material upstream. Any water in the fuel leaves the penultimate filter stage (1) and is removed at the final stage. A water removal area (4) is located between the two stages.
