The engine has a throttling device (8) that is arranged in the downstream of an intercooler (5) along the air flow direction. The temperature sensors (9,10) are arranged with respect to an exhaust gas device (7). An engine control unit (11) is connected with the temperature sensors. The engine control unit is provided to control the throttling device. An independent claim is included for method for operating internal combustion engine.
