The vehicle seat holder (1a) comprises a base body (2) connected to a vehicle body and a receiving body (3a), which is connected to a vehicle seat, particularly a pair of rails of a vehicle seat. The receiving body is connected to the base body and is displaceable in the event of a crash from a normal position in the direction of a crash position corresponding to the base body. A locking element (9) is provided, which is disengaged with a base body in the event of a crash by an electromagnetically or pyrotechnically operated actuator (10).
