The fuel system (1) has a fuel tank (2) and a venting device (3) for venting the fuel tank. The venting device has a separator (4) with a buffer store (5) for a liquid fluid. The separator has a fuel conveying device (15) for conveying fuel from the buffer store. The fuel conveying device is integrated in the separator.
