Method for controlling an automatic gearbox
DRIVE
May 9, 2012
The method involves controlling an engine block (10) based on an engine torque setpoint determined from an angular acceleration setpoint. Conical couplers (33-36) are controlled based on a transmissible torque setpoint, by measuring an engine torque value and calculating the transmissible torque setpoint according to a difference between the engine torque setpoint and the torque value. Controlling of the block and the couplers are carried out to synchronize an engine speed of the block during changing of gear ratio of an automatic gearbox (30) from an initial ratio towards a final ratio. An independent claim is also included for a drive train comprising an automatic gearbox.
