Technique for monitor-based route manipulation
DRIVE
February 29, 2012
The method involves pre-calculating a route in a display screen by cartographic data that includes road segments. Weights of the route calculation are assigned to the road segments, and selective screen position and time duration of selection operation is detected in the screen position. The weights of the route segments are modified depending on the detected selective screen position and time duration of selection operation. An actual route is calculated based on the modified weights and manipulated with respect to the pre-calculated route. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product having a set of instructions to perform a method for manipulating a route on a display screen (2) a device for manipulating a route on a display screen, comprising a modifying unit.
