Rollover protection for motor vehicles

The roll-over protection system (1a) has a roll-over body (4) that is adjustable between a rest position and a roll-over position. A drive unit is provided for pretensioning the roll-over body in the direction of the roll-over position. A locking unit (2a) and a control unit (3) are arranged in work connection at the roll-over body in a standing manner.
