Tow bar

The coupling has a pivot bearing (17c) e.g. roller bearing, rotatably mounting a ball head (16c) relative to a towing vehicle i.e. passenger motor vehicle. A blocking device blocks rotation of the ball head with respect to the towing vehicle. A braking device (69) e.g. friction brake and/or piezo-electric braking device, brakes rotation of the ball head with respect to the towing vehicle. A coupling ball and a ball support (15c) are formed fixedly or integrally connected with each other. The ball support is rotatably mounted at a coupling arm (14c) around a rotational axis by the bearing.
