The method involves providing a torque converter with a converter lockup clutch (2), where the converter lockup clutch is operated toward latches in a motor vehicle or remains operated. A control process of an automatic transmission of the motor vehicle is carried out during stationary disengagement of the motor vehicle, in a neutral position of the automatic transmission or in a parking position of the automatic transmission with an open input clutch. The converter lockup clutch is provided with primary-side lamellae (10). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a dual clutch transmission of a motor vehicle.
