The device has upper and lower shuttles respectively guided in two guiding rails mounted and/or formed on a surface of a fixed panel facing inner side of a vehicle. A frame supports guiding pins respectively engaging the shuttles. An actuation unit i.e. handle (71), acts directly or indirectly on the shuttles to move the shuttles in the rails for moving a sliding panel (43) in a direction perpendicular to a plane of a fixed panel. A synchronizing cable (74) of the actuation unit synchronizes the movement of the shuttles.
