Method for determining whether a motor vehicle in front is changing lane
DRIVE
January 19, 2011
The method involves accommodating a vehicle front end in the form of two-dimensional image by a camera. A passing over traffic lane (9) is restricted in the gathered image by a road marking (12), and an image point or an image section (15) selected from the front end is detected. A real horizontal distance of the image point or image section is determined under consideration of a measurement for real distance of a vehicle (8) for data of a motor vehicle. The image point or image section is determined based on the measurement of determination of reeving or swing process of the motor vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle including an image marking.
