Internal combustion engine having an injector with optimised jets
DRIVE
April 12, 2006
The engine has a cylinder head with a fuel injector (38) with a fuel injection nozzle (40) comprising a number of orifices (42). The orifices are realized in a manner that sum of length and arc of each fuel spray is equal to a constant, so that free length of each spray is identical. The engine has units to produce a swirl type turbulent flow at the intake. Distance between two intersection points of two adjacent fuel sprays is defined by the arc.
