Airbag module for a vehicle occupant restraint device

The module (10) has a gas generator (14) for filling an airbag (16) and a gas conducting device within the module that forces at least part of the gas flow emanating from the gas generator in a predefined, uniform flow direction. The module has an outflow opening (20) that can be enabled and the gas conducting device is configured to deflect at least part of the gas from the generator towards the outlet opening.
