Airbag arrangement

The arrangement has at least one inflatable airbag (11) that can be arranged in the roof area of the motor vehicle when folded and when inflated adopts a position protecting the head (13) of a vehicle occupant against contact with hard roof structures (15,16,18) and roof cladding (17) that covers the hard structures and/or is cut out in the region of the hard structures. When the airbag inflates at least one head protection section moves into the protection position between the roof cladding and the hard structures.
