Aiding function for the pulling away of a vehicle on a slope

The method involves verifying a speed input condition when speed of a vehicle (1) is less than a threshold speed. A gear shift lever position condition is verified when the position of a gear shift lever in combination with a measured slope indicates that the vehicle moves upwards the slope or is at a dead point. Torque input condition is verified when an engine torque is less than a threshold engine torque.
