The pillar panel (6) has one or more U-shaped openings (16) for bounding components and/or a soft plastic component and/or an attachment element integrated into the pillar panel. The U-shaped opening has through holes. The U-shaped opening for the bounding component is opposite a U-shaped opening for a leg of the motor vehicle or motor vehicle door. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle or motor vehicle door with an inventive device.
