Intake system for internal combustion engine

DRIVE October 5, 2005
Source
The intake system for a combustion system comprises an air inlet, a housing containing a filter element separating the natural air region from the clean air region of the housing, and a clean air outlet. At least one side branch resonator or a quarter wavelength tube is provided. The resonator and/or tube fill the area of the filter housing in which there is no, or only very little air movement.
