Intake system

The air intake system (10) has an air inlet (11) coupled via an air line (12) to a filter housing (13) containing an air filter element (14) and provided with a clean air outlet (15), coupled to a clean air line (16), leading to an intake air distributor (17). The filter element is curved to fit around the outside of the battery compartment (19) for the automobile battery, for cooling the latter via heat exchange between the intake air and the wall (18) of the battery compartment.
