Steering wheel for a vehicle with an airbag module

The wheel has a gas bag module (12) with a covering cap (14) in which vent openings are provided on a front wall (14a) and side wall. The vent openings (18) are provided on surrounding foam and on a hub region of the wheel. The vent openings diverts a part of the gas from a gas bag into the gas bag module. Guiding arrangements intentionally influences the flow of the diverted gas inside the bag module.
