Airbag module

Air bag module comprises a pot-like housing part (10) made from sheet metal having a gas generator fixed to its base (14) and an air bag (26) and a covering cap (12) made from plastic fixed to the peripheral wall (16) protruding from the base. The covering cap has a supporting wall (17) lying on the outer side of the peripheral wall and provided with windows (20). Hook-like sheet clips (18) are arranged on the free edge of the peripheral wall facing away from the base, which engage in the window of the supporting wall and have an outer side curved in the direction of the base. The free edge of the supporting wall facing the base is held on the peripheral wall by flexible clips (22) stamped out of the housing part and curved against the outer side of the supporting wall.
