Airbag device for motor vehicles

Air bag device, especially a side air bag device, for a motor vehicle comprises a gas generator, and a gas filling tube (12) provided with gas outlet openings (13) and connected to an inflatable air bag. The gas outlet openings are formed by cut-outs (17) in the wall of the gas filling tube and by indentations (18) in the tube wall material at least on one side of the cut-outs. The cut-outs run at an angle of 30-60, especially about 45[deg] to the tube axis (16). Preferred Features: The gas filling tube is made of a ductile material.
