Matching machine

The device (1) is for the rotational angle accurate alignment of a tyre on a wheel rim (7) and the alignment takes place through the turning of the wheel relative to the tyre. The wheel is gripped, rotated and fixed by means of a clamping unit fitting in a center hole of the wheel. The clamping unit has spreadable elements which are especially clamping ring segments or clamping ring sectors. A camera (4) registers a first mark on the wheel and a second mark on the tyre especially centrally over the clamping station. An independent claim is included for a method for the rotational angle accurate alignment of a tyre on a wheel by using the proposed device.
