The device has a handling unit with a gripper which is movable opposite to a clamping device and has radially adjustable gripper finger (17). The bead breaking devices are arranged for bead breaking the tire bead by the support surfaces of a rim. The bead breaking devices are laid opposite to each other at the gripper finger. An independent claim is also included for a method for changing the rotational angle position of a pneumatic tire opposite to a rim.
