Windscreen wiper device in particular for a motor vehicle
DRIVE
July 6, 2005
The windscreen wiper assembly, for a motor vehicle windscreen, has a drive (40) linked to the wiper blade (14) through a mechanism (16) to move the blade between two positions. A control (18) sets the drive operation and compensates for the play in the mechanism for its working life. The compensation is applied according to the working condition, determined by the current power taken by the electromotor drive, and the compensation can also be between a wider parking setting and/or an alternating parking setting. A Hall position sensor (42) is at the drive, which sends signals to the control relating to the position of the motor armature and which indicates the position of the crank rod (20). The control can be linked to the vehicle mileage recorder (44) or a counter (46) which registers the motor reverse actions to establish the working life of the windscreen wiper system.
