Windscreen wiper assembly with means for protecting the wiperblade in a parking position

The windscreen wiper comprises a wiper blade (30) which is connected to a structural element (32). The wiper blade is able to occupy a parking position where the blade is retracted in a housing (46) which comprises an upper open surface (48) through which the blade can penetrate into the housing when it is in the parking position. A housing closing flap (40) can move between open and closed positions.
