Footrest for mounting to a vehicle floor

The foot rest consists of a main body with mounting face, a step plate, and a fastening device. This has a rigid lower (16) and second upper fastener element (14), both shaped as a hook, and a third rigid intermediate element (15). The upper element is formed as a sliding locking part (33), esp. a snap connection, and blocks relative movement between step plate (10) and mounting face (7). The free hook ends of the first two elements face in direction of the vehicle floor (2). A floor covering (12) is located between mounting face and step plate.
