The sealing strip (1), made with a supple lip (3) with a surface covering layer of a low-friction material (5) designed to make contact with a sliding window (4) on a motor vehicle, has a layer (6) of a cellular elastomer or plastomer material between the lip and covering layer. The body (1) of the seal strip, the lip, cellular layer and lowfriction covering can all be coextruded.
