Airbag module

An airbag (16) has an inflation opening surrounded by a collar (18) allocated to the inflation opening between an airbag-retaining element (ARE) (20) and a supporting part (SP) (14). A fastening element on the collar links to the airbag and fits in a radial section seen section-by-section as a wedge or trapezoid shape and placed towards the ARE and SP.
