Composite member for vehicle bodies

A method for producing a frameless compound component for vehicle bodyworks consists of deep-drawing a foil to form an outer skin (1) with a turned-down edge (6) and filling the resultant product up to the edge in a foaming mold with a plastic foam (2) containing fibers. An independent claim is also included for a resultant compound component.
