The invention refers to a profile for supporting at least one contact wire in an overhead railway electrification system. The profile has a cross section with a general shape similar to a reverse "Y": from an upper base (2) of the assembled profile, a first central span (3) descends which divides into at least two separated second spans (5, 6) whose free ends (7, 8) constitute the support means of the contact wire (200).
