The crash deformation box (1) consists of a rectangular tapered hollow deformable profile (2) with holes (21-25) in its corners (19,20). It has inwardly deformed grooves (15,17) transversely arranged along its straight sides. There are holes (26,27) in the largest groove in the sides. The rectangular-section profile consists of two pieces of sheet metal bent to U-shape (3,4) and fitted together.
