System and method to control fuel injection for an combustion engine

The device has a fuel pressure evaluation unit (8) for evaluating pressure of fuel (2) in a high pressure circuit (3). The evaluation unit is connected to an injector controlling unit (7) that activates fuel injection when the evaluated fuel pressure attains a consecutive peak value at initial fuel injection. An injection needle is arranged at a maximum raising position (14) when the fuel pressure attains the peak value. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling fuel injection in a combustion chamber.
