Use of a bushing in a running gear of a railway vehicle

DRIVE September 15, 2004
Source
The bush for a bearing connecting two components of the running gear of a rail vehicle comprises concentric inner (4) and outer (3a) sleeves. A rubber sleeve (6) is mounted between these which has diametrically opposite chambers (7a, 7b) filled with hydraulic fluid. These are connected by a channel (9a, 9b) which acts as a vibration damper. Independent claims are included for: (a) an axle pivot fitted with the bush; and (b) running gear for a rail vehicle fitted with the axle pivot.
