Support for a lateral arm for vehicles
DRIVE
January 18, 2006
The vehicle wishbone (1), especially at the leading axle, has a stiff inner bearing mounting as a ball joint (4) for the wishbone at the body (2), and a wheel bearing (5) for the wheel (3). The strut mounting (6), as a hydro bush (9), has hydraulic damping to act as a pivot point in a radial direction. The inner bearing mounting is at least twice as stiff as the strut bearing mounting, and preferably more than three times stiffer.
