The axle pivot for a rail vehicle comprises a pin (2) which passes through a bush. This comprises concentric inner (4) and outer (3a) sleeves. A rubber sleeve (6) is mounted between these which has diametrically opposite chambers (7a, 7b) filled with hydraulic fluid. These are connected by a channel (9a, 9b) which acts as a vibration damper : An independent claim is included for running gear for a rail vehicle fitted with the axle pivot.
