A self adhesive thin surface covering comprises a self adhesive region with at least two adhesives of different adhesive strength, which are adhered over an edge section. At least one of the adhesives has a high initial adhesion, which can accommodate the sheer and tensile forces during adhesion over the edge, and at least one of the adhesives has a permanent and temperature stable adhesion.
