Motor vehicle with retractable steps

The vehicle has a drivers cabin and a footboard with two steps (13, 14) to allow access to the cabin by an opening (9) which can be closed by a door. The steps move from retracted to deployed position and vice versa by pivoting with respect to vertical axis of rotation. The steps are shifted horizontally in the deployed position and on either side of the vertical axis of rotation.
