Method for operating a brake system of a tractor-trailer combination
DRIVE
August 4, 2004
The operating method for a braking system with drum or disc brakes for each braked wheel axle (A,B,C) of the trailer vehicle, with individual braking regulation via a common braking control, has all brakes operated for emergency braking or braking under full load conditions and the brakes for a single wheel axle operated for braking under partial loading conditions. When a given braking parameter is reached for the brakes of the braked wheel axle during partial load braking, or when subsequent partial load braking is initiated, the brakes for a different wheel axle are operated.
