Method and device for calculating the exhaust gas recirculation amount in an internal combustion engine
DRIVE
June 23, 2004
The method involves adapting the cylinder mass flow characteristic to the known fresh air mass flow for different operating points of the internal combustion engine (1) and determining the exhaust gas feedback mass flow (dmAGR) depending on the fresh air mass flow (dmHFM) measured at the current operating point using the adapted cylinder mass flow (dmZYL) characteristic. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an arrangement for determining the exhaust gas feedback mass flow for an internal combustion engine.
