Source
The switch has a handle (110) with a number of sensor elements (120) assigned to respective requested functions. An identifying device (112) identifies the functions allocated to the individual sensor elements, by specifying an individual identifier. A transmitter (150) transmits the requested functions in the form of their individual identifiers. An electronic circuit (140) has a detector (142) for recognizing the requested functions based on the transmitted and received identifiers. Independent claims are included for a method of operating a steering column switch, and for a computer program for a microcontroller of a steering column switch.
